Zidom JS v0.1.0-beta.2 — published public prerelease#

Published on October 31, 2026. Zidom JS v0.1.0-beta.2 is the second public experimental beta. The annotated release tag points to the exact tested source commit @@TOKEN0@@. A later README-only merge on main does not move that release tag.

All ten @zidomjs/* npm packages were published under the next dist-tag. The publisher reported successful registry archive integrity checks and a fresh published-package installation smoke test.

Install the published beta#

Use exact versions instead of relying on moving npm dist-tags:

bash
●  Zidom
npm install @zidomjs/core@0.1.0-beta.2 @zidomjs/dom@0.1.0-beta.2

For the complete TypeScript + Vite setup, see getting started. All ten packages belong to these groups:

  • @zidomjs/core and @zidomjs/dom — reactive signals, JSX and direct DOM bindings.
  • @zidomjs/router, @zidomjs/query, @zidomjs/forms — navigation, data caching and forms.
  • @zidomjs/store and @zidomjs/di — shared state and dependency injection.
  • @zidomjs/compiler, @zidomjs/vite and @zidomjs/server — explicitly experimental tooling and server integration.

What's new in Beta.2#

  • Optimized initial mounting, reactive scope cleanup, scalar/JSX mounting and keyed-list row handling.
  • Expanded compiler, keyed DOM, lifecycle and real-browser regression coverage.
  • Added an independent Vite consumer fixture and initial local create-zidom starter source; the CLI was subsequently released separately on npm on November 3, 2026.
  • Introduced reviewed public-API size limits and reproducible measurements.

The release measured 4,360 bytes gzip for core + DOM (under a 4.5 KiB guard) and 9,062 bytes gzip for the combined public-API app stack (under a 10 KiB guard). These are not typical application download sizes or cross-framework speed comparisons. See performance measurements.

Verification and its limits#

The maintainer's local Docker release matrix passed 10/10 checks, including Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, isolated packed Vite consumer verification, dependency auditing and 18 automated axe-core accessibility scans. The strict prerelease gate passed 7/7 after named maintainer self-review. Zero violations were detected in the axe scans; twelve glyph contrast checks were inconclusive and separate computed-style measurements were approximately 15.63:1.

This is maintainer-run verification, not an independent penetration test, third-party WCAG certification, or guarantee that every application is production-ready. Two independent external developer feedback reports were deferred until after publication. Help test Zidom Beta.2.

Experimental boundaries#

  • The public beta APIs are subject to change before 1.0.
  • Compiler transformations, Vite integration, DOM template/security helpers and SSR/hydration remain experimental.
  • TSX edits with the current Vite plugin cause a full-page reload, not state-preserving HMR.
  • Hydration is limited; do not assume complete streaming SSR, general keyed hydration, event replay or automatic mismatch recovery.
  • Browser route guards constrain UI navigation, not backend authorization.
  • Deeply reactive nested forms/stores, independent security review and assistive-technology certification are not yet promised.

Read the upstream release notes, public API inventory and release-readiness guide.

Official create-zidom CLI#

Published November 3, 2026: @@TOKEN0@@ is available on npm. The public tarball has four files and was verified against the reviewed release integrity hash (sha512-uiO3Lhlwk8jeEP+c1o7Ha4zfNZ+FEElDhKAfk6LEOeiN5e6xmzwo5VwJNWnt1msAcb1UuTGAOPqnDiBdVSgHrQ==). Both npm next and latest currently resolve to this Beta.2 version; we recommend the explicit next tag for prerelease onboarding.

bash
●  Zidom
npm create zidom@next my-appcd my-appnpm installnpm run dev

For a router starter, use npm create zidom@next my-router-app -- --router. A fresh registry install successfully generated, typechecked and built both starter types. Read the Getting Started guide for the full steps and manual setup alternative. This is a prerelease CLI; its generated apps are not automatically production-certified.

Website verification#

The documentation website now uses @zidomjs/*@0.1.0-beta.2 components from a registry-generated npm v3 lockfile. The migration verified all ten registry version/integrity entries, a clean Node 22 npm ci, and installed-package smoke checks. Earlier Beta.1 browser results remain historical. The Beta.2 website subsequently passed the complete Chromium and Firefox interaction suites in a Node 22 sandbox and the WebKit suite in the official Playwright v1.64.1 Ubuntu container, using the same Node 22-built site artifacts. These checks cover functional browser interactions, not independent security or WCAG certification.

Both source repositories are currently private. The temporary public feedback inbox is separate and accessible without source-repository access (GitHub sign-in required). Independent consumer reports are welcome; the Beta.2 release does not claim that the deferred external feedback has been completed.
